    Abstract
Many lessons have been learnt from the major earthquakes in the past that have helped New Zealand become more resilient to earthquakes. But society’s circumstances, perspectives, and expectations are ever changing. How do we take on board the changing societal contexts for an earthquake resilient future? In this plenary session, the speakers reflect on different perspectives that have an impact on earthquake resilience.
